
A BIT ABOUT KAT
Kat Dominis is an Australian-Croatian/Slovenian actor, writer and producer who trained at
the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and the University of Sydney (USYD).
An avid filmmaker, Kat has worked both in front and behind the camera. With a strong
passion for inclusive storytelling, Kat’s work focuses on empowering women and
highlighting unusual events in history.
Kat graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Health Sciences, Psychology) in 2016,
before studying acting at NIDA (DSSP, 2018). This unique combination of skills gives her
work a beautiful, multifaceted lens.
Kat has performed both in Australia and internationally and has appeared in various roles
including 'Amy Parker' in 'The Messenger' (ABC), 'Lucie' in 'Con Girl' (Paramount+) and 'Juliet' in 'Romeo and Juliet' for Australian Shakespeare Company. As well as working as a production manager and co-ordinator for independent feature films 'Akoni' and 'The Spy Who Never Dies'.

In 2020, Kat opened her own production company Flame Tree Entertainment. Her company’s first short film 'Unspoken' directed by Damian Walshe-Howling premiered earlier this year at FlickerFest in January 2024. It has been well received with a mass of media attention. The film is set to tour internationally in later this year.
Kat also writes poetry and is currently based in Sydney.
